This summer teach technology at COMStar Learning Summer Computer Camps, located on professional technology centers and university campuses in United States and other countries in the world, where students ages 6-17 learn fun programming, game design, web design and programming, Java, C++, C# programming, 3D game programming, digital arts, and more! At COMStar Learning, we also provide several professional computer programming courses for professionals to enhance their job-related skills and help them find better work opportunities.

Tech Camp Instructor

The Tech Camp Instructor is responsible for fostering a FUN and SAFE environment while helping students learn new technology and think creatively, and ensuring all students are meeting set curriculum goals. The ideal candidate would have expertise in one or more areas of technology pertinent to the program.

Key Qualifications

  • Qualified Instructors must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following areas:
    • Programming (Java, or C++, or C#)
    • Web design and programming (HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL)
    • Game design and/or programming
    • 3D modeling
    • Digital arts
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and children's needs.
  • Interest and/or experience in working with kids and/or teens.
  • A love of learning.
  • Passion for helping others learn and succeed.
  • positivity leadership abilities.
  • strong communication skills.
  • completed 3+ years of college.

  • A background working with kids and teens or college/graduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) are highly recommended.

Responsibilities or Duties

  • Be able to organize and monitor Camp curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans.
  • Teach one or more classes for each day/week.
  • Be able to lead daily classroom management.
  • Be able to continuously supervising students.
  • Oversee and guide campers through projects and fun camp activities.
  • Ensure camp activities are running smoothly.
  • Be in charge of check-in session, directing parents, processing paperwork, etc.
  • Make sure all equipment and supplies are ready and set-up for class and activities in advance and that they are properly cleaned up and stored at the conclusion of the activity or day.
  • Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe classroom environment.
  • Socialize with families during points of contact.

Professional Course Instructor

In a weeklong 3 hours/day evening course, Professional Course Instructor will teach students and help them turn ideas into working applications by learning from the fundamentals to advanced programming in C++, Java, .NET, HTML5/Javascript, etc. as shown in the Professional Courses.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A current working knowledge of all theory and practical applications for courses being taught.
  • Hold the appropriate degree or certificates for courses being taught.
  • At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • You have at least 5 years of related programming experience.
  • Must be fluency in the course-related computer programming.
  • Must be knowledgeable in computer networking, operations, and programming.
  • Be eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of eager students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with professional adult students.
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and exceptional enthusiasm all the evenings for at least one week.
  • Teaching/training experience preferred.

Essential Responsibilities or Duties

  • Prepare syllabi and lesson plans.
  • Teach five 3-hour part-time classes in one week.
  • Provide objective and subjective feedback regarding student performance.
  • Work alongside COMStar-Learning staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.
  • Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community.
  • Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe classroom environment.


Operations Coordinator

Operation Coordinators provide administrative support for teens & kids' camps and professional courses. From running camper check-in and check-out to interfacing with HQ, Operations Coordinators organize and run the administration of the camp office while managing the summer interns and directing their duties.

Responsibilities or Duties

  • Provide administrative and management support for the camps/professional courses through daily communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service to camp families or professional course students to ensure a professional, positive, and memorable experience.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain weekly camper paperwork and materials needed for camper check-in, check-out and extended cares, etc.
  • Coordinate systems for curriculum materials replenishment, lead and manage Summer Interns ensuring efficient and enthusiastic support of camp operations.
  • Provide leadership, energy and camp spirit for campers and staff.
  • Set, work towards, and achieve measurable professional development goals.
  • Support camper check-in and check-out processes.
  • Provide support in classrooms as needed.
  • Contribute to and participate in daily opening and closing ceremonies, activities, and snack & lunch supervision as needed.

Summer Intern

This position helps instruct the camp kids and/or administrative tasks of camp, while also supporting general operations and assisting in the classrooms.
